January at Bella Viva Orchards: Our ‘Cots are Hot!

With the cold homebound days of December behind us, we’d say it’s time for some sunshine! And how! Now’s the perfect time to relax and let your imagination grab the hot sun from the sky and transform it into a zillion bright disks of Tangy Apricot deliciousness. As we all welcome longer, brighter days it’s a good time to remind ourselves of the good things in life, like those Tangy Apricots. And how perfect that Apricots are symbolically linked to joy, which we can all appreciate these days!

At Bella Viva Orchards, we proudly grow our Apricots on property that’s been in our family for generations. In fact, those orchards are on the same property as the Martino kids’ childhood home back in the ’60s and ‘70s. On hot summer days, just before harvest, that house would smell like a hot Apricot pie! If that doesn’t bring joy, we don’t know what would!

A cousin of the Prune, our Tangy Apricots are dazzling, golden-orange hued, plump and purely captivating. While we enjoy them for their sweet-tart flavor, incredible aroma and pleasantly chewy texture, experts have a lot of good things to say about them. For example, according to this article in Medical News Today, Apricots are a source of vitamin A, which is linked to healthy eyes, vitamin C, which plays a role in numerous health benefits, dietary fiber and potassium. Go ahead and read about it. You’ll be amazed and it will make you crave our Tangy Apricots even more!

When you enjoy Dried Apricots, you’re really concentrating their benefits. In fact, it takes three to four pounds of fresh Apricots to equal one pound of Dried Apricots. Whether you care about health benefits or not, they’re just good. Be a health nut and enjoy them just as they are, or bring some joyous comfort to your day with our Fried Apricot Hand Pies.

However you choose to enjoy those Tangy Apricots, we’re making it even more appetizing! Tangy Apricots are this month’s web special, so if you buy two or more 1 pound bags, you’ll get 25% off. So stock up and eat up, friends!
