End of a Family Era: Farmers Market

Bella Viva Farmers Market

This past month of August sadly closed off an era for The Martino Family, owners of Bella Viva, that became near and dear to many hearts; we have ended our participation in farmers markets, which we started partaking in during the early 1960s. Since then, we would be able to be found almost every single Saturday morning up at the crack of dawn and ready to sell our greatest products to you so you would be able to delight in them.

Two of these farmers markets that made a huge impact in our lives and our company were the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and the Alemany Farmers Market in San Francisco. Our annual Great Peach Event, which took place around the end of July for the past nine years, was always a huge success as we would present and sell flat after flat of our fresh, juicy peaches at about half the normal cost.

Yes, things are now different and we definitely miss seeing all of our new and faithful customers alike. However, times change and we realized it was now that time for us to retreat the farmers market chapter. Our dried fruits and nuts are still available for both our customers who have supported us over the years as well as new customers at bellaviva.com and our store location in Hughson, CA.

The following is a letter from our lovely owners. Please read it with much gusto:

“Dear valued farmers market customers,

This Saturday, 8/19/17, will be our last week at
the farmers market. Our family has been
participating in farmers markets since about
1962. We are now getting up in years and are
unable to continue.

It has been a privilege getting to know many of
you over the years. Thank you for your
business and friendship. We appreciate each
and every one of you. It has been an honor
growing fruits for your enjoyment.

Our dried fruits are available on our website
www.bellaviva.com.

Wishing you all the best and the most beautiful
life,

Victor & Angela Martino”
