In the Kitchen: Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Spoil your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day with these delicious and juicy Chocolate Covered Strawberries topped with Bella Viva Orchards’ Sliced Almonds, Shredded Coconut and Pecan Pieces. Nothing screams romantic dessert more than these heavenly heart-shaped gems and you just can’t go wrong with a sweet and thoughtful surprise like this!

12 Large fresh strawberries
1 cup Ghirardelli Premium Baking Chips semi-sweet
1 cup Bella Viva Orchards Sliced Almonds
1 cup Bella Viva Orchards Shredded Coconut
1 cup Bella Viva Orchards Pecan Pieces


Wash and dry strawberries very well. Strawberries must be very dry otherwise chocolate will not stick.

Prepare a baking sheet by lining with parchment paper.

In separate bowls, prepare sliced almonds, shredded coconut and pecan pieces and set aside.

Pour semi-sweet chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 second intervals, removing and stirring at each 30 second interval, until chocolate has melted.

Hold a strawberry by the stem, dip into chocolate, lift and twist, letting the excess chocolate drip back into bowl.

Immediately dip chocolate covered strawberry in preferred topping and place on parchment paper. Repeat with the rest of the strawberries.

Chill strawberries for about 15 minutes, until chocolate has set.
